Sean Hutchinson, Student Government Association (SGA) President (left) rides into the 2009 Hofstra University Homecoming parade in a Cadillac on Saturday. Sean and fellow SGA members Marissa Duque (middle) and Hakeen Egbo (far right) were all Homecoming Court Candidates for the 2009 year. The parade was led by fire trucks and the homecoming court, followed by the Cheerleading and Dance Teams, and several Organizations, Clubs, Sororities and Fraternities.

Homecoming Court candidates and SGA members, Sean Hutchinson (far left), Tammy Kim (center), Hakeem Egbo (center), and Jared Berry (far right), enjoy the Homecoming parade and float displays at the Hofsra Homecoming Parade Saturday in the stadium parking lot. Homecoming candidates took a break from Student Government while enjoying the floats and dance performances put on by fellow students. Each float had their own theme and dance performance to display.










Political Drama! Saturday October 10, 2009.

Political Drama took over when the Dracula Themed SGA float appeared at the Homecoming Parade on Saturday. SGA members sung and danced to several songs and put on their own version of the "Dracula Musical", inspired by the movie "Forgetting Sarah Marshall". Brent Weitzburg (far left standing) and Victoria Vullo (far right) got very into their performances for the Homecoming parade. The performance was major comedy for the audience and the SGA members got to show of their theatrical side.






SGA Displays Art Talent. Saturday October 10, 2009

Student Government Association takes a break from debating to display their art talents on their Homecoming float. SGA was in charge of all of the Homecoming activities and over seeing event organization for the weekend. SGA teamed up with Delta Phi Epsilon and Phi Sigma Sigma sororities for their Dracula themed float. The students were given a week to work on their floats, costumes and dance performances for the parade.

Student Government members didn't get to play in the game on Saturday, but they were certainly close enough. SGA members and fellow Homecoming Court Candidates went on the field right before half time to get ready for the winners announcements. During half time the Homecoming Court King and Queen are announced along with the Float Winners and Superlatives.
